Senior Project Manager
Responsible for defining the project scope, creating process flows and prototypes, providing clear and precise direction for development of the solution, and drafting other required documentation. Drives execution of complex projects, monitoring the results, resolving issues and leading change management
Project Management Approach
- Provides strong leadership for projects that use simple but effective project management methodologies.
- Utilizes standardized documentation in each phase to simplify the scoping, planning, status and approvals for each project.
- Assembles the appropriate project team (PMO, stakeholders, department managers and members, and outside consultants) to determine whether the project requires a new process, new technology, or both.
- Simplifies complexity and delivers real solutions on aggressive schedules is essential.
Project Management Responsibilities
- Documents project scope and goals during project initiation.
- Creates project plans for strategic initiatives and track statuses to completion
- Documents process flows and procedural documentation to support assigned projects
- Identifies and engages team members from business partnerships to ensure project completion and success
- Determines financial impact of project and results including analyzing and determining the cost/benefits of undertaking particular projects.
- Assigns task responsibilities to team members and monitors completion.
- Works with senior executives to facilitate project activities, minimize impacts on other departments and encourages team member participation.
- Interfaces with business partners from other aspects of the company including finance, sales, marketing, IT, HR, training and others as needed.
- Facilitates project status meetings and documents meeting minutes.
- Creates and distributes reporting including pilot and post implementation results

Mortgage Operations
- Reviews and understands data, such as determining the precise meaning of data in a complex enterprise system landscape and data flow.
- Updates and maintains information relevant to projects in systems such as PMO Sharepoint and MS Project.
Leadership
- Participates in the strategic development of the PMO, creating templates, example deliverables, processes and best practices to strengthen the expertise and influence of the PMO.
- Coaches, mentors and develops other Project Managers and matrixed project managers from other areas of the business to develop bench strength for the PMO.
- Assists other PMO project managers to achieve/exceed project management performance targets.
- Influences team development and continuous improvement of project management practices.
- Coaches team members to obtain PMP or Scrum certification.
- Assesses the team and each member’s training needs, including product- and non-product related issues. Coordinates, schedules and ensures attendance as appropriate.
- Provides peer reviews for other project managers and assists with problem solving.
- Prepares exemplary project documentation to enforce the excellent standards of the PMO.
Supervision
· Work planning, prioritization and assignment; establish and monitor accountability for subordinates’ job responsibilities
· Align staff to achieve departmental and company goals and objectives
· Training and team-building; staff development for professional and corporate growth; coaching, mentoring and counseling
· Timely performance management (appraisals, reviewing and approving work; rewards and disciplinary action; conflict resolution)
· Interviewing and hiring decisions; promotions and demotions
· Termination of employees within Company Policies and Practices (reviewed by HR)
· Ensure compliance with Company Policies

Bachelors Degree in Business or Computer Science, or equivalent skills and knowledge
Masters Degree is a plus
c. Prior experience needed:
Must have demonstrated project management skills with at least 5 years of proven project management experience
