Vendor Procurement and Risk Manager

Vendor Procurement and Risk Manager Responsible for leading the sourcing process to select and manage vendors based on strategic direction set forth by senior management. Tracks and monitors vendors to assure compliance with Prospect’s standard operational practices, regulatory requirements and assess vendor risk. Major functions of this role include: • Facilitate evaluation and onboarding of new vendors • Obtain and manage Statement of Work documents and gain necessary approvals • Develop scorecards and performance metrics for vendors • Where necessary, conduct on-site evaluations • Present findings and recommendations based on performance metrics and/or evaluations completed to senior management. • Develop and implement policy and procedures for vendor procurement and evaluation; ensure all policy and procedure manuals are current. • Collaborate with Information Technology to create comprehensive database of vendor sourcing to support management, monitoring and tracking of vendor related activities and performance. • Create and define key metrics and reporting for vendor performance • Monitor and analyze vendor data / activities and performance and report to BU / senior management. • Work with Vendor Management Department to ensure requirements are met and the necessary examinations are completed • Upon request of a senior manager or BU manager, initiate an RFP for required services and facilitate the determination of vender selection. • Act as liaison between vendor and Legal for contract negotiation. • Work proactivel Ensure compliance with Prospect’s corporate policies and procedures • Work planning, prioritization and assignment; accountable for job responsibilities • Align performance departmental and company goals and objectives Demonstrate and encourage integrity and alignment with company vision, mission and values.y with vendors to identify and resolve issues during RFP and due diligence process. Escalate and present recommendations and or findings to senior management in a clear and concise manner with supporting documentation • Competent risk-assessment skills • Skills and knowledge to compile reports and perform risk assessment and analytic functions • PC Skills – proficient in Excel (with the ability to data mine and create reporting), Word and Power Point • Knowledge of mortgage processing documents, procedures and practices • Customer service skills • Negotiation skills • Stress management skills • Creative problem solving skills and conflict resolution skills • Relationship building skills; training and mentoring skills • Analytical, statistical and mathematical skills and applications • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, listening) • Attention to detail; multi-tasking skills; excellent time-management skills • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Flexibility and adaptability in a fluid and rapidly changing environment • Willingness to do more than basic job requirements as needed Bachelor’s degree from a four year institution, or equivalent experience in mortgage industry Minimum 5 - 7 years’ experience in financial services industry with at minimum 3 years vendor procurement and/or vendor management experience
