Business Systems Analyst______
I. Major Functions:
This position is responsible for interfacing with the business stakeholders to analyze, understand, and document business needs/problems. The BSA will serve as a liaison between the business team and the Information Technology Department in the design, development, and execution of the requirements.

Analyze, document, and coordinate problem resolution and system modification requests.
Gather and analyze business needs and evaluate requirements to make appropriate recommendations to business stakeholder(s).
Document business, functional, technical, data interfaces and reporting requirements (including data mappings) in a clear and unambiguous manner.
Develop test plans and scripts.
Participate in system testing as liaison and/or participant
Analyze and map current and/or proposed business processes.
Document existing systems, software applications and data interfaces as needed.
Perform Gap Analysis between applications and requirements
Document design details and participate in system design sessions and get required sign-off
Work closely with Development team and help construct the desired build

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability: These are considered to be Essential Job Functions (EJF).
- Very good computer skills, including Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft SharePoint, and Microsoft Office.
- Good understanding of SDLC.
- Knowledge of mortgage industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English including listening and retention of critical information and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.
- Strong interpersonal skills in order to work effectively with others and develop partnerships internally and externally.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to be flexible, prioritize work, and follow through in order to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. [h1]
- Knowledge of a variety of technologies and platforms, relational database concepts and systems development lifecycle.
- Attention to detail; multi-tasking skills; excellent time-management skills
- Ability to thrive in a matrix environment.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative, without significant direction.
- Ability to interface with technical staff to interpret business rules and requirements.
- Willingness to do more than basic job requirements
- Ability to work with offshore team.
- Education, Training and Experience Required:
- Special courses/licenses needed:
- Formal education required.
BS in Computer Science preferred
- Prior experience needed:
- Previous mortgage industry experience
- How many weeks, months, or years of experience is required to do the job satisfactorily:
- Five years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst in software application development and implementation.
