Loan Closer II (19)
IL - Schaumburg
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure that all loans close and fund in a timely manner.
- Resolve problems that arise on individual loans on a daily basis.
- Work with Operations Manager, Regional Sales Managers and other Team Leaders to develop and maintain operations policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all fair lending and compliance policies are followed both in dealings with customers as well as the closing/funding decisions that are made.
- Support relationships that are established by the loan officers with borrowers, real estate agents and builders.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 3 years retail/wholesale closing/funding management experience.
- Thoroughly versed in doc drawing/closing process and systems, with strong working knowledge of the processing and underwriting process.
- Extensive knowledge of FNMA/FHLMC/FHA/VA programs and closing guidelines, as well as those of other conventional investors, state/local bond programs and private mortgage insurers
- FHA and VA closing experience a plus.
- Thorough knowledge of wet and dry closing practices in all states, along with strong title review knowledge.
- Good analytical ability. Strong problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and proven leadership qualities.
- Ability to make business decisions outside of standard closing guidelines
- Must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work within a high volume, fast paced environment
- Customer-service oriented
